At only 8 years old, Big John found himself in a kill lot. He is pure Belgian and stands over 18 hands tall. When we bailed Big John, he was full of scars, open sores, and wounds. It appeared that his equipment did not fit correctly and that he was used as a working horse by the Amish. Big John was quite a bit underweight. Despite all that he had been thru, he was calm, gentle, and adored children.
