Tag #7430 — Rosie

Little Rosie girl worked for the Amish all of her life. She foundered on grass. Due to her previous owners’ kids growing up, little Rosie girl ended up at the lot. When we reached out for help, so many amazing people came together to help us bail her out!

When we got Rosie home, it was clear that eating was painful for her. Our vet came out right away and did a teeth float and overall check. To our surprise, underneath all of her “fluff”….. Rosie was skin and bones. Her teeth had several sharp points that were causing sores on the inside of her mouth. Rosie also had some serious issues with her hooves and our farrier is working to trim them back where they need to be.

After the vet visit, Rosie’s appetite tripled!! She has a nice warm blanket for the winter and she is on a some grain daily to help her gain weight. Rosie is a complete sweetheart who didn’t deserve to be tossed out. She will never have to worry about that again - Rosalina is home, safe, and loved.
